Our home has been turned upside down by our bundle of fun, our new pug puppy arrival, we are crazy about her. Madison is her name and she is nine weeks old.The problem we are having with her is the dreaded housebreaking
It is not unusual for pugs to have days that they do actual good and then its like she is crazy at us for something and that is how she is getting back at us You should see the look on her face
Our small pug has days that she moans, goes to the door and the whole 9 yards. Or if she can't get our attention for some cause she goes on her puppy pad and she gets all the praise
Every book and training method possible has been used to try on and housetrain her but not always with the success we were awaiting.Few weeks she wont go near her pad which is very frustrating. We can take her outside to do her duty and maybe she will then come back in the house and hide to do it over again
We took her to the vet for health check thinking maybe she had lice as pug dogs do get lice --negative on that.We do give her the odd little snack or treat, call it what you will but it really lights up her face and it is so worth seeing her smile
Now she is starting to do her jobbies in her dog taxi which I cant work out, I am sure I saw on TV that pug puppies are known to do this . She enjoys going outside and we constantly bring her out after she has drunk a a lot of water. She manages to last 8 to ten hours depending on how long she snoozes for, A month or so ago she had the chance to go on her puppy pad but declined to take me up on the offer. She wasn't utilizing the pad she was using everything else including my husbands sock -- he was unhappy
She is never spanked at or hollered at all we do is say no and bring her away. Can you assists us Should we just opt between the pad and outside or will that frustrate her even more.I cant imagine what we have done wrong so that she is so mazed. We desperately need your assist. What can we do to adjust her on the straight and narrow so that she is perfectly housetrained.
